I was 165 north of
Memphis, running a load of freight
When a black and
white stopped me for being overweight
He said yank you’d
probably do just fine but since you’re
South of the ‘Dixon
line
You’re gonna have to
sit right here and you’ll have to wait
‘Cause you’re two
loads overweight now ’boy, you’re
Two loads overweight
So for now you’re
gonna have sit right here and wait
Wire in cash to pay
for all my fines and we’ll get you going
Down the line, but
for now you’re gonna have to sit right here and wait
So I found me a
watering hole there with a girl there named Mary Jo
She was the kind of
girl you couldn’t make her sit and wait
She may be crazy and
little bit big but boy she’ll fit in the cab of my rig
So you know right
then I couldn’t make her sit and wait
‘Cause she two loads
overweight now mac, she’s
Two loads
overweight,
She’s the kind of
girl you couldn't make her sit and wait
She may be crazy and
bit of a mess but after three rounds you
Could care less, she
got what you need to get your mind back on the road
I’ve been to south
of Alabama, and west of Minnesota I traveled by them
Great big lakes,
Carried every kind
of load that you’ve ever want carry but I’ve never been
Overweight
So when I pulled up
to the station to take care of all my fines
Mary Jo signed me
out, you know she was the sheriff’s wife
He said “Boy I hope
you learned, you’re gonna get what you deserve
So we better not see
you come around here again.”
You know he’s two
loads full if it, two loads full of it
Just one more
problem that I’m gonna have to deal with
Gonna thank you for
your time, but now I’m movin’ on down the line
And you bet your ass
you’ll never see me ‘round here again.
